Daggerford: Out Of The Frying Pan...

The Session:

Last session we retrieved the Elemental Key of Fire. We escaped the collapsing dungeon, only to run smack into a new danger. We started the session face-to-face with a Raksasha and a dragon. The Raksasha threatened us, demanding the Fire Key. Nikolice started pressing random buttons on the key, and the party was teleported...elsewhere.

Navine, Azul, and Nikolice found themselves in an unfamiliar room. There were two apparent exits, one leading up and one down. The doors had buttons on them, similar to the ones on the key. They went to one of the doors and experimented with pressing some of the buttons. Pressing the wrong combinations damaged them, but they finally found the right combination to open one of the doors.

In the next room they saw a throne, with a body on it. They had trouble breathing the foul air. They quickly passed through the next door, where the air was fresher. They were outside, near the base of a pyramid. It looked like they were on a different planet.

In the distance, they saw Khemed and Vanya standing in a battlefield, between two rival bands of bloodthirsty savages. They were white-furred beast people called "Kith". Khemed put some of them to sleep, and Vanya used her guitar to hit a few with lightning. The rest of our party was on top of a cliff, and attacked from the distance. The two tribes attacked each other, and us. Eventually the last few opponents fled, leaving one sleeping Kith. We tied him up and took him prisoner.

He didn't speak any language we knew, so Vanya cast Tongues. We interrogated the survivor, and he mistook Vanya for some sort of "ascended being". While Vanya interviewed the Kith, a few party members decided to investigate the pyramid a bit more. Among other things, they found a magical device used for astral projection. 

We attempted to take a long rest at the pyramid, but we were low on food and water. Vanya convinced the Kith to help us find some food and water. There were several kinds of weird mushrooms, which we experimented tasting. We drank some mushroom milk and killed a lizard for food. 

During our rest, three Strekelions quietly attempted to surround us. We managed to kill them in a few rounds, and harvested them for meat. We completed our long rest and ended the session.
